Directions to the Library
(Directions are also available through Mapquest or Google Maps.)
Coming from south of Providence:
- Take Interstate Rte 95 to Rhode Island exit 19, which is Interstate Rte 195 East
- On Interstate 195 East, take the first exit (Gano Street).
- At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn right onto Gano Street.
- Take first left onto Wickenden Street.
- Go up hill, cross large intersection at Governor Street.
- Continue on Wickenden two blocks to traffic light at corner of Hope Street.
- Turn right onto Hope Street.
- The Library is six blocks up on the right-hand side at 121 Hope Street (at the corner of Power Street).
- Parking is generally available on the street - there is no off-street parking. Please be aware of parking regulations on local streets.
Coming from east of Providence:
- Take Interstate Route 195 West to Rhode Island Exit 3, Gano Street.
- At the bottom of the exit ramp (at the light), take a right onto Gano Street.
- Follow Gano Street for four blocks to Power Street, and turn left onto Power.
- Follow Power Street for four blocks until it intersects with Hope Street.
- The Library is on the left-hand corner of Power and Hope streets.
- Parking is generally available on the street - there is no off-street parking. Please be aware of parking regulations, which are strictly enforced.
Coming from west of Providence:
- Interstate Routes 6 and 44 lead to RI Rte 10 North. Take Rte 10 North to Interstate Rte 95 South to Interstate Rte 195 East.
- On Interstate 195 East, take the first exit for Gano Street.
- At the bottom of the exit ramp (at the stop sign), take a left.
- At the next stop sign take a right.
- Turn left onto Wickenden Street.
- Follow Wickenden Street through two stop signs.
- Turn right onto Hope Street (at the four-way intersection at the crest of a hill).
- The Library is six blocks up on the right-hand side at 121 Hope Street (at the corner of Power Street).
