Scope and content:


            Florence (Parker) Simister (1913-1981) was a Rhode Island historian best known for "Streets of the City", a long-running series of radio broadcasts on local historical topics. The research notes in this collection were compiled by Simister as background for a book on William Sprague which was never completed.
