RHODI: Rhode Island History Online Directory Initiative

Through the Rhode Island History Online Directory Initiative (RHODI), the Rhode Island Historical Society (RIHS) fulfills its mission as a platform for connectivity and participation by using digital technology to increase the history and heritage sector’s visibility, access to peer networks, grassroots support, and the dissemination of messages ranging from education to advocacy. The RHODI project was made possible by a grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. RHODI continues today through sponsorship of robust professional development programming serving our history and heritage colleagues called RHODI Conversations and a quarterly newsletter highlighting news from our partner organizations and in the field.

The Rhode Island Historical Society’s Commitment to Our Donors

We will not sell, share, or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity. We will not send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by RIHS on any platform by any means, both online and offline, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. To the extent any donations may be processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
