A New England Noel: A Festive Adventure Featuring Dining, History & Holiday Cheer

Step back in time on Sunday, December 7 and experience the magic of the holiday season filled with warmth and timeless charm. Join us for a full-day holiday adventure featuring a traditional New England dinner at the historic Publick House Inn and an enchanting evening at Old Sturbridge Village’s Christmas by Candlelight.

Your afternoon begins at the 1771 Publick House Historic Inn, where General Lafayette once stayed during his tour of America. Settle in by the hearth and savor a festive feast featuring Butternut Squash Bisque, Roast Turkey with all the fixings, Yankee Pot Roast, and a decadent Pecan Sweet Roll Bread Pudding for dessert.

As twilight falls, journey to Old Sturbridge Village to experience Christmas by Candlelight, a celebration of holiday traditions through the centuries. Wander lantern-lit paths, meet costumed historians sharing stories of early New England life, and delight in the sights and sounds of the season with live carolers, festive performances, and cozy village shops offering holiday treasures.

Your ticket includes:

  • Round-trip travel via coach bus from East Providence (11am pickup and 7:45pm drop off) or Woonsocket (11:45am pickup and 7:30pm drop off)
  • A traditional holiday meal with a beer or wine at the Publick House
  • Admission to Christmas by Candlelight at Old Sturbridge Village
  • A $15 food or drink credit to enjoy during your evening in Old Sturbridge Village
