Valley Talks, a series of biweekly historical lectures, concludes on Sunday, March 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the Museum of Work & Culture. This year, all Valley Talks will be presented in a hybrid format, meaning guests have the option of joining the speaker in person at the Museum or online through Zoom.
St. Ann’s Church has been called “America’s Sistine Chapel,” with over 20,000 square feet of magnificent fresco paintings that rival the artistry of Michelangelo and Raphael. Paul Bourget, co-author of Towers of Faith and Family, St. Ann’s Church 100th anniversary book, will share what he learned in researching the frescoes, focusing on the subject matter of the frescoes and the artistry of its creative genius, Guido Nincheri. As part of the presentation, Bourget will relate personal stories of the people who lived, worshiped, and became part of the artistry of St. Ann’s Church.

Paul Bourget, CPA, is the owner of Bourget & Associates, with more than forty-five years of public accounting and consulting experience. He was the editor, researcher, and co-writer of Towers of Faith and Family, a history of Woonsocket’s St. Ann’s parish, and the founding president of St. Ann Arts and Cultural Center. He currently serves as the Past President of the Museum of Work & Culture’s Preservation Foundation, Trustee of the RIC Foundation, Past Grand Knight of the Woonsocket Council 113 of the Knights of Columbus, and Chairman of the Woonsocket School Committee. Paul and his wife Denise live in Woonsocket, RI.
