Juneteenth at the John Brown House Museum

In celebration of Juneteenth, the John Brown House Museum will be OPEN and FREE for all visitors from 10am to 4pm on Friday, June 19th, 2026! 

The JBHM will feature special interpretation using objects and themes focusing on Black Revolutionary history and RI’s Black communities’ connections to the 250th anniversary of the United States! Explore the museum’s new exhibitions on Rhode Island’s global ties in the 1700 and 1800s. Families and children are invited to get their hands on history with historically inspired crafts. Registration is not required for the free admission. 

Additionally, guests can buy tickets to a 10:30am Special Juneteenth edition of the Black History on Providence’s East Side Walking Tour. This walking tour is ticketed separately, and space is limited.
