New Concert Under the Elms Date: Funkademic

A bonus concert was added to The Rhode Island Historical Society’s 27th season of its beloved Concerts Under the Elms series! The concert series, hosted on the Great Lawn of the John Brown House Museum, will feature a lineup of returning favorites and first-time performers. Each evening will also feature a specially selected food truck.

On Wednesday, August 14th  at 6:30pm, we will welcome Funkademic, a musical ensemble based in Providence, playing funk, soul, and R&B on period-correct instruments.

Concerts are free for RIHS members and $10 for nonmembers. Membership packages start at $40. Guests are welcome to bring chairs and coolers.

For the first time, we are offering flexible passes to this year’s concerts, allowing guests to purchase tickets in advance that can be used at any concert during the six-week season! Each pass provides access for one individual to a single concert. Passes are redeemable at any point during the 2024 CUE season, but will expire in September 2024 and cannot be used for future seasons.

Passes are $10 for non-RIHS members. CUE Flexpass holders can use any remaining tickets for this date. Children under 12 are free. RIHS members receive free admission to all concerts, with memberships starting as low as $40. Please visit here for tickets and more information.

Guests to our concerts are welcome to bring their own chairs, blankets, and coolers.

Please note that dogs are not permitted unless they are service dogs. Support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

Thanks to the generosity of our presenting sponsor, AARP members and their guests will receive $5.00 off the concert ticket price of $10.00. Use Promo Code “ElmsConcerts2024” when purchasing your ticket(s). Offer available while supplies last.

Concerts Under the Elms are made possible by AARP, along with Brown University, Esten & Richard Insurance, Cameron & Mittleman LLP, Bally’s Twin River, OnIT Technological Solutions, and BDS.
