CANCELED: Smithsonian Museum Day

THIS EVENT IS CANCELED

Museum Day is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity across the country hosted by Smithsonian magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to the public on Saturday, April 4th. The John Brown House Museum will be offering free guided tours upstairs in the historic house as well as rare, downstairs basement tours. We will be honoring this year’s theme of science in museums through special displays highlighting integrated pest management, object conservation challenges, and an exploration of our geothermal system.

All tours for Smithsonian Museum Day will be offered on a first come, first serve basis. You cannot sign up in advance for them and there is a 10 person maximum for each tour time.

Guided House Tour Times (60 minutes)

10:30, 12, 1:30, & 3 pm

Basement Tour Times (45 minutes)

10:15, 11:15, 1:15, 2:15, & 3:15
