The Revolution in Rhode Island – Walking Tour with Scott Alexander

What happened in Providence during the American Revolution? Hear stories of patriot intentions, the rise of Providence in the former colony, and the struggles faced by Rhode Island’s diverse population, which shaped early American history from guide Scott Alexander. From the Declaration of Independence in July 1776 to the French presence at the war’s conclusion, get ready to don your tricorn hat and lace up your walking shoes! Comfortable shoes are a must during this 75-minute walking tour covers approximately one mile of mostly flat terrain along Providence’s College Hill.

This walking tour takes place on Saturday, September 13th at 10:30am, and again on Saturday, October 4th at 10:30am.

Tickets are $10 for RIHS members, and $15 for general admission and are available here.
