At the General Assembly of the governor and Company of the English colony of Rhode-Island, and Providence Plantations, in New-England, in America; : begun and holden at South-Kingstown, within and for the said Colony, on the last wednesday in October, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty-five, and sixth of the reign of His Most Sacred Majesty George the Third, by the grace of God, King of Great-Britain, and so forth. : An Act for assessing upon the inhabitants of this colony, a rate or tax of twelve thousand four hundred and sixty-eight pounds, fifteen shillings…on or before the tenth day of March next…

At the General Assembly of the governor and Company of the English colony of Rhode-Island, and Providence Plantations, in New-England, in America; : begun and holden by adjournment at Newport, within and for the said colony, on the Second Monday in June, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty-seven, and seventh of the reign of His Most Sacred Majesty George the Third, by the grace of God, King of Great-Britain, and so forth. : An Act for taking a just estimate of teh rateable estates in this colony, in order that the rates and taxes may be equally assessed upon the inhabitants.

To the public. The printer not being able to publish Capt. Sweet’s answer to Col. Wanton’s address, of yesterday, by the time required; the following general strictures on his character and conduct, with a certificate from Mr. Josiah Hewes, respecting the same, being part of said answer, are now offered, by desire, to the consideration of the public. November 1, 1755. To the House of Magistrates: Gentlemen, resolved, that seventy thousand pounds old tenor be raised by a tax, to be forthwith assessed and levied, agreeable to law, on the estates and poles [sic] of the inhabitants of this colony …
