Historical note:


            The Sayles Engineering Company, also known as the Frank A. Sayles Engineering Company, was located in the Slater Trust Company building. This company did drafting and civil engineering jobs for the Sayles plants. The records do not indicate why the company existed contemporaneously with the Central Engineering and Construction Company.
