Historical note:

The Harrisville Glee Club performed its first concert on May 24, 1920. The musical director for the entire history of the club was Alexander Rihm. The membership of the club averaged between 40 and 50 singers but swelled to as many as 70 in 1923. They performed a wide range of material from popular music to classical pieces. They also performed Gilbert & Sullivan's The Mikado in 1933.

Scope and content:

This collection consists primarily of concert programs for the glee club. The musical director also kept detailed attendance records for the rehearsals and the concerts. Several of the concerts also include a layout of the singers on the stage and occasionally a detailed drawing of the stage area. The folders are organized by the date of the performance.
