Museum of Work & Culture excited to welcome Grace Thomas, American Girl’s Girl of the Year®
When: Saturday, September 19
Where: The Museum of Work & Culture, 42 S. Main St., Woonsocket, R.I.
Admission: $25 for baking class & treasure hunt/$10 for treasure hunt
Each year, American Girl debuts a new character whose story captures what it means to be a modern American girl. This year’s girl, Grace Thomas, is from the Blackstone Valley and is passionate about French, baking, and her dog Bon-Bon.
On September 19, in honor of Grace’s birthday train ride through the Valley, the Museum will be hosting programming and activities inspired by Grace’s story.
At 10am & 1:30pm the Museum will offer a Baking Class & French Treasure Hunt. Bakers will receive a chef’s hat & pink apron and will fill and glaze eclairs, with all ingredients and baking materials provided by Wright’s Dairy Farm. Participants will also take part in a French Treasure Hunt and create a personal travel log of their visit. Admission is $25 per baker, which includes the cost of one accompanying adult admission.
The French Treasure Hunt will be available all day with an admission price of $10.
Tickets are available for purchase at americangirlatmowc.brownpapertickets.com.
