The Museum of Work & Culture will welcome Christopher Scott Martin and David Norton Stone, authors of Rhode Island Clam Shacks, for a free talk and book signing on Friday, June 2, at 6pm.
The event is being offered in conjunction with Food Truck Friday, an evening of entertainment, activities, and food trucks in Woonsocket’s Market Square.
Rhode Island Clam Shacks, the latest book in the “Images of America” series, includes more than 200 images telling the story of Rhode Island’s relationship with its beloved bivalve. Join the authors as they take a look at the places, traditions, and recipes honoring a Rhode Island favorite.
Martin is the curator of Quahog.org, a website about Rhode Island’s history and cultural quirks. Stone is the author of the Rhode Island food books Clamcake Summer, Stuffie Summer, and Chowder Summer.
