Three receipts on one page signed by Samuel Crown, Mansfield Capron his mark, Michael Spencer. On verso: "East Greenwich Receipts for blankets and snapsacks [knapsacks] delivered by William Pearce Esq 11 knapsacks, 13 blankets" this seems to indicate that there is a page or two missing from this receipt.

I am not certain about this attribution to the 1st Kent County Regiment…the only Michael Spencer I can find for 1776 Sept. Was an Ensign in Major Adam Comstock's Company of Colonel Christopher Lippitt's State Regiment (in Continental Service) and not in the RI State Millia under John Waterman. DSKM
