
Learn about the relationship between the Blackstone River and Woonsocket’s industrial development on a historic walking tour of the city.
Guides will explain how the Blackstone influenced the birth of the Industrial Revolution and how, in turn, the resulting mills environmentally impacted the river. Visited sites will include Woonsocket Falls, Main Street, and the banks of the Blackstone River.
Tours will be offered at 10am each Wednesday in August. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Children under 10 are free with a paid adult admission.
All participants will also receive free admission to the Museum so they may complete their understanding of the city’s story.
