2022 Plans

The plans pay homage to the landscape design of the Olmsted Brothers, circa 1900, and feature a new, sustainable tree palette, ADA accessible pathways, defined programming areas, lighting and security cameras, and elegantly designed interpretive signage to tell the story of the landscape, from Indigenous use through the Gilded Age.

The project will improve public access, expand audience capacity, enhance and increase the public benefit, support existing and expanded uses, enable interpretation of the landscape and its immediate environs, provide universal access to the museum and grounds, preserve open space, steward an important asset, and invest in future generations.
