About the 2024 Season of Concerts Under the Elms
We are so excited to welcome the community back for the 27th season of our much-loved Concerts Under the Elms!
The six-week series, hosted on the newly-revitalized Great Lawn of the John Brown House Museum on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m (except Wednesday, July 3rd) will feature a lineup of returning favorites and first-time performers!
Concert admission is free for RIHS members and $10 for non-members. Children under 12 are also free. Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs, blankets, and coolers. Please note that dogs are not permitted unless they are a service animal.

The Good Living Band
A powerhouse quartet, with three-part harmonies from northern Rhode Island with a vast catalog of favorites from “Friday I’m in Love” to “Ventura Highway.”
Featuring Mings Asian Street Food
Wednesday, July 3
The American Band
A symphonic concert band comprised of over 50 musicians from Southern New England. The band has a long and colorful history extending back to 1837.

Thursday, July 11
The Whelks (NEW!)
An acoustic trio who play a mix of swing, country, old time, bluegrass, Irish, folk, and their own original songs, in a glorious harmony.

The Narrow River Band
A southern RI-based acoustic rock band specializing in a wide range of upbeat music, from classic acoustic tunes from the 60s and 70s to current music of today.

Funkademic
A fan-favorite musical ensemble formed at Brown University in 2019, playing upbeat funk, soul, pop, and R&B on period-correct instruments.
